24 Feb PHARAON: Pilots for healthy and active ageing (IDIH Magazine, EN)
In Europe’s rapidly ageing society, there is a growing need for tools that will improve the quality of life and independence of older adults. Pharaon is a project from H2020 program. 41 partners from 12 countries around Europe are involved.
The overall objective of the Pharaon project is to provide support for Europe’s ageing population by integrating digital services, devices, and tools into open platforms that can be readily deployed while maintaining the dignity of older adults and enhancing their independence, safety, and capabilities.
The project will use a range of digital tools including connected (IoT) devices, artificial intelligence, robotics, cloud and edge computing, smart wearables, big data, and intelligent analytics that will be integrated to provide personalized and optimized health care delivery.
The project is based on collaborative and user centric approach. Since the beginning, the definition of future users’ needs was defined with the DO/BE/FEEL method, then the usage scenarios were transformed into functional requirements for testing in real life the technologies answering to the defined needs.
Pharaon’s integrated platforms will be validated in two stages which are the Pre-validation and the Large-scale pilots (LSPs) deployment, in six different pilot sites: Murcia and Andalusia (Spain), Portugal, The Netherlands, Slovenia and Italy. (…)
